NAOX LINK: Long Recordings at Home, Self-Applied by Patients

As a Physician, you are all too familiar with the hurdles of EEG access. It often involves a choice between long waiting lists due to staffing shortages, or missing critical data because symptoms happen at home. When you suspect nocturnal events, patient reluctance to undergo hospital monitoring or complex home setups often leaves you without the answers you need.

With NAOX in-ear EEG technology, you get a high-quality, single-channel EEG comparable to a low temporal derivation. Simply hand the device to the patient and show them how to start the recording: it is as intuitive as plugging in earbuds to listen to music. Back home, your patient can select a quiet moment to record themselves, or even capture a whole night on a single charge. The earbuds are designed to be comfortable and stay in place, even for side-sleepers.

NAOX LINK: The Science Behind

Science is at the core of NAOX development.Below, see how in-ear (black line) EEG compares to Gold Standard Scalp EEG (red lines) during synchronous dual recordings in hospital settings.

Measuring differetn States of Brain activity

EEG rhythms (slow, theta, alpha, spindles) correspond to specific brain states (e.g., sleep stages N1-N3, relaxation, focus).

Studies* confirmed that EEG recorded with in-ear NAOX were comparable to gold-standard EEG during various conditions (wakefulness/sleep.)

Detecting Neurological Disorders

EEG is a powerful tool for identifying anomalies associated with various brain pathologies. It is widely used for diagnosing epilepsy, the second most common chronic neurological disorder worldwide.

In this experiment, the NAOX Buds successfully detected a patient's epileptic seizure during a real-world scenario.

NAOX In-Ear EGG platform intended use

The NaoX In-Ear EEG platform is intended for prescription use in the home, healthcare facility, or clinical research environment to acquire, record, and transmit electrical activity of the brain by placing non-invasive electrodes in the ears of patients. It acquires, records and transmits one channel of electroencephalogram (EEG) data. The medical use of data acquired by the NaoX In-Ear EEG platform is to be performed under the direction and interpretation of a licensed medical professional. The NaoX In-Ear EEG platform does not provide any diagnostic conclusions about the patient's condition. The NaoX In-Ear EEG platform is intended for use with adult and pediatric patients (6+).
